Training

All University workers (teachers, researchers, PTA, TD contract holders, etc.) and figures equivalent to them (students, PhD students, interns, etc.), who attend educational research or service laboratories, must receive “… sufficient and adequate training on health and safety …” (Legislative Decree 81/08, art.37) which allows them to have the necessary knowledge to carry out their activity in such a way as to safeguard their own safety and of the people they collaborate with.
To guarantee this, the University provides mandatory initial training courses for workers and their equivalents of a total of 8 (4+4) or 12 (4+4+4) hours, depending on the risks associated with their activity.
• For everyone there is a general training course followed by another specific training course for low risk. These two courses complete the training of those who only use equipment equipped with video terminals in their activity.
• For those who attend chemical, physical, biological laboratories, construction sites, archaeological excavations, etc., the risk is considered medium and the training is integrated with an additional 4 hours, which must necessarily be carried out in the classroom.
• The courses provided by the University are reserved for those who have not participated in previous equivalent training sessions on the risks associated with their job.
• It will be the responsibility of the managers to verify that those who carry out activities in their laboratory have followed an adequate training course.
